Devi Kalyanam is a sacred and rare temple ritual symbolizing the divine wedding of the Goddess, performed with great devotion and traditional rites. This auspicious ceremony was conducted on 7 January 2026 at our family temple in Kollam as part of the annual festival celebrations, following age-old Kerala temple customs.

The ritual includes sacred chants, offerings, and ceremonial proceedings that represent divine union, prosperity, and spiritual harmony. Devotees believe witnessing Devi Kalyanam brings blessings for family well-being, marital harmony, and overall prosperity.

Sarpa Pooja on Occasion of Devi Kalyanam (07-01-26)

Sarpa Pooja is one of the most sacred and ancient temple rituals in Kerala, deeply connected with Nāga (serpent) worship, fertility, lineage harmony, and protection from Sarpa Dosha. On 7 January 2026, this powerful ritual was performed with devotion and traditional rites at our Kudumbakshetram in Kollam, as part of the annual temple observances.

The ceremony followed traditional procedures, including:
– Purification rites (Āvāhana and Kalasha rituals)
– Chanting of sacred mantras dedicated to Nāga Devatas
– Offerings made with devotion, including flowers, lamps, and symbolic items
– Concluding prayers seeking peace, protection, and divine grace

In Kerala’s spiritual heritage, serpents are revered as divine guardians of land, water, and ancestral balance. Sarpa Pooja is traditionally performed to:
– Seek relief from Sarpa Dosha and ancestral karmic influences
– Invoke blessings for family prosperity, health, and fertility
– Protect the household and temple premises from negative energies
– Maintain harmony between nature, ancestors, and the present generation

This ritual holds special importance in temples associated with Nāga worship, often conducted with strict adherence to age-old Agama and Tantric practices.
